The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild (“Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild,” “Guild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you download, access, or use a Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild mobile application, including event-specific applications such as the All Pints North app and the Minnesota Brewers Conference & Awards app (collectively, the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
The App is primarily an informational event guide. It may provide schedules, maps, beverage listings, brewery and exhibitor information, speaker information, event announcements, frequently asked questions, transportation information, and other event-related content.
You are not required to create an account or provide personal information simply to install, access, or use the App.
Information You Provide Voluntarily
We may receive information that you choose to provide when you:
- Contact the Guild for assistance;
- Submit feedback, surveys, or event-related questions;
- Use a contact, safety, or code-of-conduct reporting form;
- Communicate with the Guild by email, telephone, or through a linked website; or
- Otherwise voluntarily submit information to us.
Depending on the feature you use, this information may include your name, email address, telephone number, organization, comments, report details, or other information you choose to provide.
Please do not submit information that is unnecessary for the purpose of your communication.
Technical and Usage Information
The App, its hosting provider, the applicable app store, and service providers supporting the App may automatically process limited technical information necessary to deliver, secure, and maintain the App. This information may include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Device type;
- Operating system and version;
- Browser or application version;
- General language or region settings;
- Dates and times the App is accessed;
- Pages, screens, or features accessed;
- Network and application performance information;
- Crash reports and diagnostic information; and
- Security and error logs.
This technical information is generally used to operate the App, diagnose technical problems, prevent misuse, understand general usage patterns, and improve performance.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App may use local storage, cookies, caching, or similar on-device technologies to:
- Save preferences;
- Remember selected or favorited items;
- Provide offline access;
- Remember whether notices have been dismissed; and
- Improve application performance.
Information stored locally generally remains on your device and is not transmitted to the Guild unless the App clearly indicates otherwise.
2. Information the App Does Not Collect
The current version of the App does not:
- Require a user account or login;
- Process purchases or payment-card information;
- Display behaviorally targeted advertising;
- Sell personal information;
- Track users across unrelated applications or websites for advertising purposes;
- Request access to your precise geographic location;
- Request access to your contacts;
- Request access to your photos or media library;
- Request access to your camera or microphone; or
- Collect health, biometric, or financial-account information.
Approximate location may sometimes be inferred from an Internet Protocol address by infrastructure or security providers, but the Guild does not use such information to identify or precisely locate App users.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information described in this Privacy Policy to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the App;
- Present event schedules, maps, beverage lists, and other event information;
- Respond to questions, feedback, reports, and support requests;
- Investigate safety or code-of-conduct concerns;
- Diagnose errors, crashes, and performance issues;
- Protect the security and integrity of the App;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
- Understand general and aggregated App usage;
- Improve future events and App functionality;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Protect the rights, safety, and property of App users, event attendees, the Guild, and others.
We will not use voluntarily submitted information for materially unrelated purposes without providing appropriate notice or obtaining consent when required.
4. How We Share Information
The Guild does not sell or rent personal information.
Service Providers
Information may be processed by companies that provide services necessary to operate the App, such as:
- Website and application hosting;
- Cloud infrastructure;
- App distribution;
- Technical support;
- Security monitoring;
- Crash reporting;
- Form processing; and
- Email or communications services.
These providers are permitted to process information only for legitimate service-related purposes and are expected to protect it appropriately.
Event Administration and Safety
Information submitted through event-support, safety, or code-of-conduct reporting features may be shared with authorized Guild personnel, event organizers, venue personnel, security personnel, emergency responders, legal advisers, or other parties when reasonably necessary to respond to the submission.
Legal and Protective Purposes
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
- Respond to a lawful government request;
- Investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity;
- Enforce applicable terms or policies; or
- Protect the safety, rights, or property of the Guild, App users, event attendees, or others.
Organizational Changes
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar organizational transaction involving the Guild. Any successor would remain subject to applicable privacy obligations.
5. Third-Party Websites and Services
The App may contain links to websites, maps, ticketing services, social-media platforms, surveys, forms, brewery websites, vendor websites, or other third-party services.
When you follow a third-party link or use a service operated by another organization, that organization may collect information under its own privacy policy. The Guild does not control and is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of unaffiliated third parties.
The presence of a third-party link does not necessarily mean that the Guild endorses all content, policies, or practices of that third party.
6. Apple and Google Services
When you download or use the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may independently process information relating to your device, app download, purchase history, account, diagnostics, or use of their services.
Information independently collected by Apple or Google is governed by the applicable company’s own privacy policies and account settings. The Guild does not control information collected directly by an app-store provider for its own purposes.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to the request or report for which it was submitted;
- Administer the applicable event;
- Maintain appropriate operational or safety records;
- Resolve disputes;
- Enforce agreements;
- Meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations; or
- Protect the Guild and others from fraud, misuse, or harm.
Technical logs and diagnostic information may be retained for shorter periods established by the applicable service provider unless longer retention is required for security, troubleshooting, or legal purposes.
Information stored locally on your device may be removed by clearing the App’s storage, uninstalling the App, or using available device settings.
Because the App does not currently provide user accounts, there is no App account to delete. You may request access to or deletion of personal information that you voluntarily submitted by contacting us using the information below. We may need to retain limited information when required by law or when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.
8. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request:
- Access to personal information we maintain about you;
- Correction of inaccurate information;
- Deletion of personal information;
- A copy of certain information;
- Information about how personal information has been used or disclosed; or
- Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
To submit a privacy request, contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You may also control certain App information by:
- Clearing local App or browser storage;
- Adjusting device privacy settings;
- Limiting diagnostic sharing through your device or app-store settings; or
- Uninstalling the App.
9. Data Security
The Guild uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Communications and information transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended as a general event-information service and is not directed specifically to children under 13 years of age. The Guild does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the App without appropriate authorization.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child has submitted personal information through the App may contact us to request its deletion.
11. Users Outside the United States
The Guild is based in Minnesota, United States. Information submitted through the App may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
By voluntarily submitting information, you acknowledge that it may be processed in the United States, subject to applicable legal protections.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, service providers, or legal requirements.
The revised policy will display an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method. Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective means that the updated policy applies to your subsequent use of the App.
